After Dark Films

Mr. Solomon is a Partner and the principal innovator behind After Dark Films. He began his career at the age of six years old working on the set of a popular Canadian television show during the summer months. Having spent much time working in the industry, Mr. Solomon chose to pursue his love of film by founding Sweetpea Entertainment in January 1991. It was at this time that Mr. Solomon began his odyssey to acquire, finance, produce and direct the first live action motion picture based on the world famous Dungeons and Dragons game and trademark. The film, including DVD sell-through, grossed over $300 Million worldwide.From 2004-2005, Mr. Solomon wrote, produced, directed and financed the motion picture An American Haunting starring Donald Sutherland and Academy Award Winner Sissy Spacek. The film was produced for $13.5 million as a co-production between the UK, Canada and Romania. An American Haunting opened #2 in the nation and stayed on top for four weeks.

Moving from production to distribution in 2006, Mr. Solomon began a new partnership with longtime business partner, Allan Zeman, establishing the genre film label After Dark Films. Now a leader in theatrical independent film finance, production and acquisitions of genre films for theatrical release, the company enjoys an output deal with Lionsgate. After Dark is perhaps best known for its creation and execution of Horrorfest - 8 Films to Die For, a one week national film festival that celebrates all aspects of the horror genre. In its first year, Horrorfest became the first film festival in history to break into the Top 10 at the national box office, grossing over $2.5 million dollars. Courtney Solomon also helms ADF's sister company Autonomous Fims, which focuses on star-driven, commercial features across virtually all genres.

Anthony Timpone is the longtime editor of both Fangoria magazine and its sister website, fangoria.com. In fall 2004, Tony served as a producer on Bravo's five-hour documentary series The 100 Scariest Movie Moments. In the early 90s, Tony helped guide the first three Fango flicks for Columbia TriStar Home Video: Mindwarp (starring Bruce Campbell and Angus Scrimm), Children of the Night (with Karen Black and Ami Dolenz) and Severed Ties (with Oliver Reed and Elke Sommer).

He currently serves as an acquisitions chief for Fangoria's various video labels. In addition, he is a producer/interviewer for Fangoria TV's Screamography program, an associate producer on the televised Fuse Fangoria Chainsaw Awards and a consulting producer and anchor on Fangoria Radio (Sirius Satellite Radio channel 102).

For Koch Vision, Tony co-created and co-produced the Fangoria Blood Drive series, a short film search and magazine-format DVD hosted by Rob Zombie. For TV, he was a consulting producer for the nationally syndicated Horror Hall of Fame special and served on the award show's Board of Directors. Tony has also worked as a horror and development consultant to Universal New Media, Vestron Pictures, Media Home Entertainment and others. Additionally, he is the author of Men, Makeup and Monsters (St. Martin's Press) and edited Fangoria Vampires, Fangoria Masters of the Dark: Stephen King and Clive Barker (both HarperPrism), Fangoria's 100 Best Horror Films You've Never Seen (Three Rivers Press) and Fangoria's Best Horror Films (Crescent Books).

Since 1993, Tony has helped program international horror/fantasy festivals in Milan, Italy (Dylan Dog) and Montreal, Canada (Fantasia), as well as Montreal's Just For Laughs. At New York City's Two Boots Pioneer Theater, Tony programs and hosts the East Village venue's monthly Monster Mondays film series.
