Low Vs. Diamond Vs. Rich Kids

We open on Low Vs. Diamond performing in the large yard of a modest country home. 2 young children( a boy and girl) run around playing. The picture is desaturated and grainy. A kind of super 8mm look.

Cut to: close on a well groomed young man talking and laughing on the phone. The picture is now crisp and clear. A slow zoom out reveals his nice suit, and a run down studio apt. fit with milk crate furniture and a single mattress on the floor. The man hangs up the phone.

The young man sits a a bus stop of an urban inner city in his slightly too small suit. The bus arrives.

The man sits on the bus staring out the window. Cut back to L.Vs.D. playing in the yard. The little girl pushes the boy on a rusty swing.

The bus stops near a swank, hip night club. The man enters the club. He stands in a circle of upper class young men, nice suits, perfectly combed hair and expensive drinks. The young man now looks disheveled and out of place. He stands with a beer staring off as the other men laugh and joke.

Cut again back to the band with the children playing and the desaturated/grainy look. This will alternate between the two worlds.

Back to the night club: The man looks at each of the pompous men in the circle and exits. He opens his wallet and places his last 20 on the bar and leaves. He walks down the street and loosens his tie.

Cut to the band/children.

The man throws his tie on the ground and enters a run down apt. building. He runs up the stairs and enters his apt. He shuts the door and notices his bags are already packed and sitting on the floor. He looks up to discover a young woman, his sister standing in front of him. They embrace. They run out of the building together and chase down a bus. They sit in the back of the bus looking ahead a la The Graduate.

Cut to the children now interacting with the band. Lucas holding the young boy up to the mic. as they sing, and Howie sharing drum sticks with the little girl.

Cut back and forth to the bus and band/kids as the sun rises in both scenes.

As the song ends.

The side of the bus fills the frame, as it drives away we see the young man and woman walking toward the modest country home. No band or young children are seen. Just the rusty swing swaying back and forth.
