PREY TO GOD

Prey to God is a film about five teenagers who go on a weekend camping trip in the outback woods of small town, anywhere. When they get there their trip is doomed from the start as it begins to storm.
Stubborn as they are, the teens decide that come Hell or Highwater, both likely events in the film, they are going to tough it out and have fun if it kills them.

They stay the night and one of the teens tells of one of the local legends that was supposed to have taken place somewhere deep in the very woods they're in sometime during the Depression. The legend told of a family that ran a local graveyard that seemed to be doing alright for themselves, despite the Depression. Rumors began to spread through the town that the family were everything from cannibals and grave-robbers to occultists and devil worshipers. Believing that they were hoarding money that they stole from the town's dead loved-ones the desperate townspeople decided to run them out of the area and search for the hoard themselves.

They burned the house down while the family was supposedly away. When they heard the screams of the trapped wife, who had been sleeping in the house at the time, it was too late and she burned alive. The townspeople fled the scene. When the husband returned to the house to find it burned and his wife dead, he hung himself from an old oak tree in the middle of the graveyard.

Unfortunately, the family had a daughter who had been away at a Christian academy. When she returned home to find her family dead she went crazy. As she found evidence that the townspeople were to blame she vowed bloody vengeance against the town.

He tells the rest of the teens that she still resides in the woods, killing sinners and anyone else who raises her ire. They scoff at the legend and sleep, little knowing that they are being watched from the
shadows.

That night one of the teens goes missing and they go to look for him where they run afoul of the family spawned from the girl, Grace, who is now old and seemingly feeble. The teens have to fight for their
lives as they are stalked, crucified and even eaten alive in one case, by Grace's twisted family.
