Bloodsuckers Must Die!

A longer and more detailed version of this synopsis is in my screenplay asset page. Gives a little bit more information about the setting and feel of the film. The details, such as the soundtrack, is a key factor in getting the entire mood of this film right.

Completely set in the 80s' and an ode to films like 'Night of the Creeps', 'Return of the Living Dead Part 2', 'Fright Night' and even the original 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. It would be very tongue and cheek, though not out of control. A lot of 80s' humor ranging from songs and bands to clothes, hair styles and lingo. This would be the light heartedness of the flick, mixed with zany horror. Think 'The Wedding Singer' and just add the horror aspect. I think it would be a howl...

Heather and her younger brother Brendan live in the small little town of Valley Hills, Ohio. It is 1986 and Heather is getting ready for a prom she really doesn't want to go to.

Her mischievous brother and his best friend, CJ, go to the local cemetery that night after being told never to go inside. Once there, they mistakenly awake a century old vampire by the name of Victor. The two kids escape his grasp and return home.

Victor follows them home without them knowing. Once there, he follows Brendan's sister and her boyfriend to the prom after finding out what is taking place at the gym.

Victor plans a feast and needs help so he bites and turns Heather's original nerdy date into a vampire, who she paid off to take a hike. Then the school janitor.

The vampires eventually wreak havoc on the unsuspecting students and faculty, locking them inside the gym. Inside, Heather and her boyfriend, Jess, defend themselves as the number of vampires have grown. Brendan and CJ show up all vampire huntered out- garlic, stakes and all.

The four of them flee from the gym and make it to the drive-in. There, the sheriff gets killed and so does Jess.
Heather, Brendan and CJ fend the vampires fend off the bloodsuckers long enough to escape.

The three of them make it to a chapel after we see how the vampires have spread their carnage. Inside the chapel they get a priest to follow them to the local public swimming pool. When the vampires follow them inside, there is a final showdown.

The priest blesses the pool before he gets sucked and somehow, the three kids plunge Victor into the pool of now turned holy water. He dies along with his vampire buddies just as dawn breaks.
