Music Video Treatment

Fade In:

A gray-on-black Low Vs. Diamond logo. The camera pulls out to reveal the logo emblazoned on a drum kit. We see the band practicing in a dingy apartment, cranking out the opening riffs to 'Don't Forget Sister'.

The camera continues to pull out through the apartment window, eventually panning several stories down the front of the building. Along the way we pass by windows and witness an array of people going about their daily lives.

Once at street level, a bus pulls up and lets off a Young Man on the corner. As cars pass by, time passes and we see his life's journey over the course of the next several weeks move by like pages in a flip book. Here we see the Man in a series of vignettes, ie- selling his art on the corner, getting an apartment, working a day job, etc.

Eventually we come to find the Young Man at a swanky party. He tries hard to fit in yet no one gives him a second glance. He gets a call from his Sister (her image pops up on his cell phone.) He is excited to see a familiar face, but before he can answer her call a group of beautiful people come and whisk him away. Caught up in the moment he inadvertently hangs up the phone. The first chorus comes in the form of a missed text message: 'Don't forget sister, she'll always be true...'

More passage through time / flip-book shots. Here we see the Young Man coming up in the high society, big-city art world: fine dinners with important people, gallery showings, critical acclaim, etc. Along the way we witness him become increasingly comfortable in his new life.

At a gathering at the Young Man's pad his new life is equipped with hip friends, hot model girlfriend, and all the amenities that go along with new found fame. As the camera pans across the room, we pass a mantle where pictures of his Family, Friends and Sister lie. The shot eventually lands on a ringing phone where the caller ID reads 'HOME.' The noise of the party is too loud and drowns out the ring.

Back to the flip book. Images race by of the Man's fast-paced life and downward decline. He is partying too much, out all night, sleeping late, missing deadlines, etc.

POV from high atop the city, a postcard falls from the sky. It makes its way through the city and eventually lands on top of a pile of fliers at an art gallery. Staggering out of the bathroom, the Young Man makes his way through the gallery with his friends. On his way out the door he looks down at the postcard. It is a cheesy family Christmas card that includes a picture of himself, his Family, and Sister. He looks at it in awe, reads the back which is inscribed with the final chorus, "Don't forget sister, she'll always be true, you come from a good home..." In shock, the Young Man passes out.

He awakens is in his apartment and immediately jumps up and begins frantically writing a letter to his family. His words are a flood of emotions. He is sweating and smiling, working with everything he has to get his feelings out on paper. As he finishes the letter he hears a mail truck outside his apartment and rushes out in an attempt to reach it.

On the street the mail truck is pulling out and the Young Man races after it. The camera pulls out to a wide shot as he chases the mail truck through the city streets. An aerial view continues to take us high above the rooftops, where below the gray streets and black rooftops begin to spell out the letters of the 'Low Vs Diamond' logo.

Through a seamless transition we pull out to reveal the logo emblazoned on a drum kit. We are back to the opening scene. This time the band is cranking out the closing riffs to 'Don't Forget Sister'.

The camera continues to pull out through the apartment window, pans down the several stories of the front of the building where we pass by an array of people going about their daily lives.

Once at street level we see a bus at a stop. It starts up and begins to pull away.

Fade to Black.
