Beautiful Disaster

Open on a low angle dolly shot of a smoke filled room. Big. Private. Posh. A large table is heaped with a decadent feast. We push in slowly on our hero Cade. He is confident, charismatic and handsome.

The camera dollies around the table. Impeccably dressed men accompanied by gorgeous and sophisticated women. The men are a tight knit crew of dangerous and successful thieves. This is a feast...a victory party. (The Crew is played by the men of LVD).

VICTOR, their leader, a distinguished silver haired gentleman, raises his glass. Everyone cheers. Kayla, Victor's gorgeous wife, is transfixed with Cade. He catches her glance. The electricity is undeniable.

A young woman, Chloe, stands before a dingy hotel shrouded in cheap neon. She does not belong here. She pushes a picture through a scarred plexi glass window. The clerk examines it and nods.

The camera PANS back and we are now IN THE PAST. Cade, unpolished and blue collar, exits a dingy hotel room. SARAH, disheveled and pregnant, watches as he climbs into a waiting black car.

The camera PANS back to the hotel room door. Sarah is gone. BACK TO THE PRESENT. Chloe sits on a dirty bed in the dingy hotel room. She looks into camera and sings the chorus " Don't forget sister..."

The black car cruises through the city at night. Tad drives and Cade rides shotgun. They park and pull black masks over their faces.

MONTAGE: a stealth burglary flashes across the screen. Wires clipped. Valuables swept into black bags. A safe cracked. A diamond necklace....A large diamond ring. PUSH IN on the ring. Pull out to reveal... We are in VICTOR'S OFFICE.

Victor examines the ring. He smiles and shakes their hands and offers them a seat. Outside, Kayla, the brunette from the dinner, dives into the pool. Underwater shot as she carves through the icy blue water.

A bus travels down a highway.

Sarah is on the bus pregnant and alone. She looks at the camera and sings. "Don't forget sister....

The crew (LVD) and Cade assemble in Victor's living room for a planning session. All eyes are on Victor as he maps out the plan.

A black van screeches to a halt. Cade and LVD jump out masked and in full sprint. They run into a jewelry store and smash and grab valuables from their glass cases. Customers cower as glass rains everywhere.

SLOW MOTION as everyone run back to the waiting van.

Back to First Scene, the smokey posh room...The Feast. Glasses raised.. Cade and Kayla lock eyes.

Kayla and Cade in bed. Infatuated. She kisses him passionately.

Victor sits on his couch alone, drunk, and distraught. It's late. The door opens and Kayla walks in. Victor confronts her. She pushes him away.

Chloe walks through the wreckage of the jewelry store.

THE FEAST: The lighting is darker, more surreal. In a SLO MO dream like state Cade throws the table over onto the floor. Everything on it crashes to the ground.

The band plays amongst the wreckage of the feast. The dining room is a smoke-filled overturned disaster. The room shakes violently as the song erupts.

Cade and Kayla embrace . The door burst open. Two men grab and pry them apart.

A cavernous warehouse. Cade lies broken at Victor's feet. Victor grabs him by the hair. We see all components of the video intercut rapid fire: Feast. Dancing. Band Jamming, Robbery, Running, Table Crashing, Victor screaming, Kayla kissing. Cade trashing Victor's office, Sarah's newborn baby cries.

Close up on Cade's beaten face as he falls to the ground. As he slips away he sees Chloe. She cradles him. She kisses his forehead and fades away.

Cade lies alone and dying on the warehouse floor.
