Bio

Krisztian Majdik is originally from Switzerland, where he was interested in stories, writing and pictures since an early age. It was a good mixture of Indiana Jones and Blade Runner that inspired Krisztian to leave his country and make the big trip to New York City to start his filmmaking career at NYU: Tisch School of the Arts in 2002 where he graduated with honors.

In 2006, Krisztian toured the festival circuit with his short film NIGHT FALLS. He received critical praise for his debut film at Palm Springs Film Festival, won best cinematography awards and was nominated several times for best directing (Rhode Island Film Festival, San Fernando Valley Intl. Film Festival).

Currently, Krisztian works as an editor and story producer in TV and in his off time, he prepares for an attack into the commercial directing world. To boost his directing reel, three specs commercials are in production in collaboration with friends from Digital Domain. They will feature a combination of fairy tale storytelling with a mix of old and new filmmaking techniques such as miniature photography mixed with state of the art CGI (MAYA/MASSIVE, etc) to create a very unique new world. Additionally, under his company Pandemonium Pictures, LLC, in collaboration with Australia based FIGHTING CHANCE FILMS, Krisztian is developing a feature length road movie set in Australia, featuring young rising star DUSTIN CLARE.
