Overview

  • Favorite Books

I don't like to read books that often, because I get bored with excess detail. I'm not illiterate, I just think I'm to active and energetic to sit and read a book. But, in the recent years I have come to love reading plays and short stories. I took a theatre class at San Francisco State that inspired me to want to read more plays. That was one of my most memorable and valuable experiences thus far in college.

  • Interests and Activities

I love to play sports-basketball, softball, swimming, volleyball, tennis, bowling, skating, badmitton, football, and on and on and on and on. I also love to listen to music every where I go and imagine how the video will look as I do. 75% of the time that I watch TV is watching music videos. Most of the other time I'm watching Spongebob. I also like to hip-hop dance and hang out with my family and my old friends.

  • Favorite TV Shows

Spongebob, Hereos, Martin, 106 and Park, TRL, Thats so Raven, My Wife and My Kids,

  • Favorite Music

r&b, hip-hop, pop, and slow rock

  • Favorite Talent

Ne-yo, Alicia Keys, Fantasia, Melina (music video director), Will Ferrell, Martin Lawrence, Will Smith

  • Favorite Quotes

Because what we see about ourselves often influence what we do about ourselves, the role of images and how they control our minds are more important now, in our media saturated society, than ever before" Essence Magazine, Sep 1989

  • Favorite Movies

Friday, Anchorman, The General, White Cat, Black Cat, Mildred Pierce

  • Bio

Im from Fresno, Ca. I have thirteen brothers and sisters, plus both of my parents in my life. Six of my eight brothers are rap artists and two of them are also music producers. I am the director for their music videos. Though neither of us have made any money off of our work, we keep our confidence high and continue to look forward to helping our city break into the mainstream music industry. I know people are all too familiar with the "from rags to riches" story, but if I make it in the film industry, that will be my story as well.

I attended Fresno City College for two years, before transferring to San Francisco State. Even though I first became interested in directing when I was a junior in highschool, I had no equipment or access to anything that could help me work on my craft. I went to Fresno City College hoping that I would get a chance to major in film, but they only had limited courses in the field. So after I graduated I went to San Francisco State in hopes of having better educational opportunities. Unfortunately I didn't get into the Cinema major, for whatever reasons that may be. I started off as a Liberal Studies major, until my third year at SFSU, when I was able to pick up Cinema as a double major.

I am who I am today, because at some point in high school I learned that I have to care about myself and pave the way for what I want my future to be like for me and any kids that I may bring into the world. A teacher may teach you to read or write and a parent may teach you to love and care for others, but no one but yourself can teach you to love yourself and do things that will make you the person you want to be. I consider myself a pioneer for the younger generations and I am proud to be one. I would rather be poor and homeless and consider myself a filmmaker then to have a little money and home, but be stuck in career just to get by. So either I am going to rise to the top, or I'm going to hit the ground hard on my ass. I'm willing to take risks to reach my career goals. No this isn't insanity, but this is my definition of self motivation.
